Introduction
This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to connect Notion with SEOmatic, enabling users to create marketing pages using website builders like Typedream, Popsy, or other tools that use Notion as their database backend.
Minimum Requirements
- Notion account
- Website builders using Notion DB (Typedream, Popsy, Feather, Superblog, etc..)
- Title or Slug field in your Notion Database
Step by Step Guide to Connect with Notion
Create a Notion Table
- Log in to your Notion account.
- Create a Notion table or use the one you connected with your website builder. This database should contains your CMS data.
- Make sure you have at least a “Title” or “Slug” field in the columns of your Notion table.
Create a Notion API Token
To create a Notion API Token, follow below steps:
- Log in to your Notion Developers account and click "View my integrations".
- Click on “New integration”.
- Give your integration a name (i.e. SEOmatic) and click “Submit”.
- Go to “Capabilities” tab and give the following permissions then hit “Save changes”.
- Write down your new API token somewhere secure. This is a sensitive piece of information that shouldn't be shared with others.
- Go back to your Notion Page where your Notion is and add a connection to your newly created Integration (on the top right, click on "more" icon and "connections")
Connect Your Notion
Now you're ready to connect your Notion to SEOmatic.
- Go to “Connections” tab.
- Choose Notion and click “Add Connection”.
- You will be prompted to input your Domain name and API Token. Copy and paste your token into the designated field.
- Click 'Connect' and you'll see a confirmation message if the connection is successful. If not, an error message will appear.
- Your connection will appear in “My Connections” tab.
