Introduction

This tutorial will guide you through the process of connecting a Ghost to SEOmatic. Make sure to have your Admin API Access Token handy. If you don't have an API Token, don't worry - we'll cover how to generate one in this guide. Let's get started!

Step by Step Guide to Connect with Ghost

Generate API Token

  1. Connect to your Ghost Account.
  1. On your sidebar menu, click on the "Settings" icon

  1. On the left navigation menu, find and click on “Integrations” then “Add custom integration”.

  1. Give it a name (i.e. SEOmatic) and click “Add”.

  1. Write down your new API token somewhere secure. This is a sensitive piece of information that shouldn't be shared with others.

Connect to Ghost

Now you're ready to connect your Ghost to SEOmatic.

  1. Go to “Connections” tab.
  1. Choose Ghost and click “Add Connection”.

  1. You will be prompted to input your Ghost domain name and Ghost Admin API token. Enter your Ghost domain name, e.g., seomatic.ghost.io, without 'https://', 'www.', or any trailing slashes or folders and copy and paste your generated API token into the designated field.

  1. Click 'Connect' and you'll see a confirmation message if the connection is successful. If not, an error message will appear.
  1. Your connection will appear in “My Connections” tab.
